Quote

β€œTo announce there must be no criticism of the President, and to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, it is morally treasonous to the American public.”
– President Theodore Roosevelt

BAD SATELLITE INTERNET

Here is an example of my pathetic speeds for high monthly charges under WildBlue Satellite Internet company. Plus the Fair Access Policy (FAP) is not so fair.

What's in your food and who owns it?

Is your food infected?

Is our food supply infected and have cultivation methods refined over thousands of years been undermined?

The Future of Food lays out a detailed case against genetically engineered crops. Exploring a gamut of issues from so-called suicide seeds to lax food-safety enforcement laws, and from the controversy over patented genes to infected cornfields, the film is a comprehensive and chilling example of anti-GMO rhetoric.

Johnny Cash: The arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.

One of my favorite artists. Johnny Cash recorded stacks of unreleased tapes during his career. Unearthed shortly after his death a batch of recordings marked "Personal File" contained a treasure trove of recordings from the '70s.

In the same vein as Bob Dylan's tribute to Woodie Guthrie, but unique in its own way, Cash reads a riveting poem to Robert W. Service titled "The Cremation of Sam McGee." click on link to hear or visit Cash's site www.johnnycash.com

Great music - E-Town

Here is a great radio show you can listen to by downloading the mp3, streaming, or podcasts. And it's free. It's Etown live from Boulder Colorado.

Just heard this show etown Radio Show 0611 - Mavis Staples / Donavon Frankenreiter and really enjoyed it. The host Nick Forester is a bit of a dweebe but the music more than makes up for it. Ahh I miss Boulder's good music and good food.

Is your Eco-Footprint like Bigfoot's? Now you can find out

Everybody (from a single individual to a whole city or country) has an impact on the earth because they consume the products and services of nature. Their ecological impact corresponds to the amount of nature they occupy in order to live.

The ecological footprint (or eco-footprint for short) is a tool to measure our ecological performance. It tracks how much individuals, organizations, cities, regions and nations, or humanity as a whole consumes and compares this amount to the resources nature can provide. More precisely, it shows how much biologically productive land and water area a given population occupies to produce all the resources it consumes and to absorb its waste, using prevailing technology

April 22 is Earth Day, how about taking 10 minutes to find out your own personal "ecological footprint" http://www.myfootprint.org/
